Real Estate Sales Agent License Requirements

1. Any Persons engaged in the sale of Real Estate for a fee in the State of Connecticut has to have a state license.
2. Completion of 60 hours of classroom instruction from one of the state approved schools listed on this page.
3. Successfully passing the final exam from one of the approved real estate schools.
4. Notarized State Real Estate Commission Application form from the Connecticut DCP with a $40 application fee
5. Notarized affidavit of satisfaction of educational requirements from an approved school.
5. After state acceptance register with exam company PSI http://www.psiexams.com and a $65 fee paid by credit card.
6. Pass Connecticut State exam and national exam each with a passing score of 70 or greater.
7. Obtain a job with a Connecticut licensed real estate broker within 2 years from the passing of the state and national exams.
8. Submission of exam certification forms by broker and payment of $225 to the State of Connecticut (prorated payments for less than year renewed on May 31 each year) and $20 to the Real Estate Guaranty Fund.
